Music Industry Courses

The Mike Curb Institute for Music at ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV College offers students the chance to learn about everything from sound editing and video production to marketing and community engagement through innovative courses. Curb-sponsored classes combine theoretical concepts with real-world experience and offer students the opportunity to engage with the Memphis music scene and local professionals.   

Courses include:  
Music and Community in Memphis (MUSC/URBN 262)  
Audio Engineering: History, Theory, and Practice (MUSC 312)  
Music Urbanism  
Songwriting in Memphis (beginning Spring 2023)

Music Industry Certificates

ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV offers two certificates in Music Industry Studies: Content Production and Arts Entrepreneurship. These certificates recognize and credential the work that students do through the Curb Institute and throughout Memphis while taking full advantage of the rich liberal arts education that ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV offers.
